Yesterday Dave and Laiya planted a garden. They are going to grow all of Laiya's favorite vegetables. This morning we went with Emily and her three little darlings, her mother-in-law and brother-in-law to the Cutlerville parade. Other than her fear of dogs, Laiya had a great time. Then this afternoon we had lots of fun in the pool. Check out that smile on her face! Tonight we had more long talks. She just opens up and talks about so many things from her past. She even told me about the day, when she was 12 years old, that she accepted Jesus into her heart. Wow, what a blessing! Tonight I heard lots of horror stories about her past, but she says all that is behind her now because she is here with her 'forever family'.
