Laiya Meets Her Grandpa and Grandma

Today Laiya met her Grandpa and Grandma Zeeff. They flew in from Florida late this afternoon and we went out to dinner together. My mom has taken all her grand daughters to get their ears pierced, so when she asked Laiya if she wanted hers pierced, her eyes got big, she showed her beautiful smile and she shook her head "yes"! We will do that on Monday after school. I'm not sure if she knows what 'brown-nosing' is, but when I asked her how old she thought Grandpa and Grandma were, she said '50'. Hmmm, that's younger than me! [they are actually 80 and 81 - I would love to look that good at that age!] Tomorrow morning she will start to take the bus to school - another first. Actually, she's very familiar with trains, subways and buses, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal. She said tonight that she'd rather have me drive her to school though.
