Well, I'm sorry to report that we still don't have the okay to travel to Hong Kong to pick up Laiya. Tomorrow is her 14th birthday (actually, it's 7 pm here so it is already 7 am in Hong Kong which means it is really her birthday right now). We were really hoping to be with her on her birthday, but it looks like it could be a couple weeks yet. Haven't heard back from the government in Hong Kong yet. Everything else is ready - she's had her physical, we are pre-registered with the travel agency, etc., so all we need is that one, very important phone call. Hopefully the next update will tell you that we are on our way!! Please continue to pray for Laiya as she prepares to say all her goodbyes! Thanks!
