We just received a note from our social worker saying "Laiya is fully prepared for the adoption and is eagerly looking forward to meeting her adoptive parents on Monday." We also received a tentative schedule for the week. On Monday we will meet the social worker at 9:30 am and she will bring us to the foster home to meet Laiya at 11:00 (that will be 11:00 pm on Sunday here.) We will then go for lunch with the foster family. On Wednesday we will have a farewell party with the social workers and will meet her teacher. At 5:30 on Wednesday she will be allowed to leave WITH US! We are then on our own for the next couple days. We leave Hong Kong on Saturday morning and arrive back home at 4:30, at which time Laiya gets to meet the rest of her family! We're so happy that Laiya is eager, but we still know it will be hard for her, so please continue to pray! Thanks!!

I can't imagine what Laiya is going through right now. I'm sure she is going through so many different emotions. Our prayers are with you all.

Your long wait is nearly over! We are praying for the transition that Laiya and the two of you will be making as your lives change forever. Makes me think back to when Rick joined our family - what a blessing!
