Welcome Home Laiya!

What more can we say?

Well it was another long, but fun day! Believe it or not, after missing a night of sleep and then flying all day, we expected to sleep like babies. However, I went to bed at 1:30 and was awake by 5 AM! I started writing notes of things I wanted to remember to do. Then Dave started getting restless and by 6:00 we decided we might as well get up, since neither of us could sleep. By 7:30, Laiya was up too. We made it to church and then had a nice lunch together (which Emily was kind enough to make for us!). Then this afternoon the kids and my sisters and brother (and their spouses) came to have the party that we were suppose to have last night. It was a nice time for Laiya to get better acquainted with her family. Her neices and nephews sure do love her (and she loves them too!). Laiya gave gifts to her brothers, sisters, neices and nephews. She saved the money herself and said she wanted to give them something to show her thanks for them accepting her into their family. By 10:00 Laiya was sound asleep on top of her bed. I couldn't convice her to put on pjs and crawl under the covers. Tomorrow will be the beginning of a bit of routine - that will be nice. I'll take her to buy a few items that she needs and just take it easy. Ahhh - sounds wonderful! She is doing extemely well and seems to be very happy. We have much to be thankful for!

So glad that Laiya is adjusting so well. We are so happy for all of you. We had fun last night with you. So glad that Lidia and Laiya hit it off so well. We'll have to get together more often, huh?
