Well, Laiya finally found out about her new family yesterday! Her social worker said she was very "overwhelmed with joy and smiles at learning about her Mom and Dad, her brothers and sisters, and her nephews and nieces." She said she is also "fascinated by the size and neatness of the house, including her bedroom." She said she was thrilled to hear our voices on the DVD that we sent too. To "show her thanks to the Lubbens", she wrote us a letter (addressed "Dear Mom and Dad") and drew us a picture. Her letter said "I feel very happy when I see the photo album with my new family." Her English and penmanship are very good. We will now be able to corresond with her, through the social workers. Please continue to pray that everything goes well so that we may travel to pick her up soon.
